San Francisco Chronicle, "Saving
Saleh"
Saleh Khalaf, 9, gets
headaches from shrapnel in his brain, and finds comfort as
his father, Raheem, strokes his head. He lost his left eye,
both hands, and the skin on his abdomen from an explosive.
Through an international rescue mission, Saleh, on the brink
of death, was flown from Iraq to Oakland Children's Hospital
along with his father.
