Workshop (Location Lighting) — Greg Foster
Greg Foster has spent the last two decades working
on assignment for a wide variety of magazines and
newspapers, specializing in portraiture and feature
story work. A long time contributing photographer
for Sports Illustrated, he has also worked for editorial
clients such as Fortune, Golf Digest, ESPN the Magazine,
The Sporting News, and The New York Times, as well as
corporate clients including The Coca-Cola Company,
Kodak, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, and Norfolk-Southern
Railroads. His work has also appeared in a variety of books
and television documentaries for such clients as The NBA,
ESPN, Fox Sports, and NFL Films.
Greg’s awards have included recognition for his work from
Pictures of the Year, Communication Arts, and The Atlanta
Photojournalism Seminar. He received a Associate of Arts
degree in Journalism from Gordon College in 1979, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in
Photographic Design from The Universityof Georgia in 1983. He began his career as a staff
photographer at The Griffin Daily News in Griffin, Georgia in 1985, and also worked as a staff
photographer at The National Sports Daily.
